Chromcast xfinity tv from Android Phone (s6) Can it be done?

I have a chromecast on my TV. Can I cast xfinity live channel to my TV?

I don't see a cast icon in the xfinity android app.

I tried logging on to xfinity via chrome and it said I had to use the app.

Seems like it can't be done. Am I missing something?

I don't see the option on my Xfinity TV app either. But I read that the Xfinity TV Go app is Chromecast compatible. I think the selection of shows on TV Go is relatively limited, though.

I believe I read the same thing. If that's true, then how doe we actually use chromecast? I'm starting to think it's not actually capable of doing this on the android app, but rather from a PC or other device.

Has anyone been able to cast xfinity from an android device?

Chromecast capability is up to the app developer. I wouldn't be surprised if Comcast purposely omitted the functionality, perhaps to get more revenue from additional TV cable hookups at home. You could imagine that if everyone only paid for one TV hookup, and then used Chromecast for all other TVs, that would be lost revenue.
