chrome draining a lot of battery

Anyone else have issues with chrome using an absurd amount of battery? Is this normal? I find chrome is burning more battery than the screen per the marshmallow battery graph... Anyone else run into this issue? Are there other browsers that use less battery?

Atlas is light and fast. Not very powerful (no extensions or addons), but light and fast. I use that for speed, Firefox for power, Chrome for being uninstalled. (If not for Google Cloud Print, I wouldn't even have it on my PC, but that's the only way to set up GCP.)

Yes. Chrome (and beta) is a battery hog!

I disagree, Chrome is the opposite on my 6P. Do you have data saver turned on in Chrome?

Personally, even with it off I've never had an issue with Chrome.

I have data saver set to off.
