I've been having an issue using Chrome browser on my S20 plus. It freezes numerous times throughout the day and I have to force close the app on order for it to work again. In the mean time I've installed Canary Chrome which seems to be behaving itself for now.
Is anyone else having Chrome freezing issues?

I'm not experiencing any issues, try clear cache and force stop , or uninstall the update to it .

I've tried all and nothing worked. I see there are lots of similar reported issues on the Samsung community

Did you Uninstall Chrome as suggested? A clearing of the cache partition and rebooting prior to reinstalling wouldn't hurt either. Good luck

Yes. I did all that you mentioned. Apparently it's affecting the Samsung, and Firefox browser also.

Have you added extensions to your browser? Have you put an adblocker add on to the browser? Are you using a VPN?

Maybe the provider is throttling. Have ookla speed test rtg next time and see what speeds are like. Post a screenshot if possible. Post results either way. It reads like a windows timeout issue from the server side.

Having the same issue

I was facing some lag problems with Chrome as well, in my Note 10+. As I thought it was a specific problem with my device, simply changed for the Samsung Internet. But I really miss Chrome's sync with my other devices...

Personally can't remember the last time chrome lagged on my recent devices.. It works buttery smooth on my Ultra as well as 4 XL. Not seeing any issues here. Sometimes it could be some crappy websites that cause this on any browser. Does this happen all the time on all websites or particular sites?

Yeah chrome sync is great, I'm also recently liking Microsoft edge chromium which is coming along well. I believe Samsung internet can be installed on any Android phone now so that sync works. They need a browser on iOS, PC and Mac with cross platform sync for me to switch to it full time. I believe they had ways to sync via extension or something like that but need an actual browser on all platforms for me to use.
