There's a bug that when you change the name of your device and restart it, it changes back to "Galaxy S26 Ultra". I hadn't noticed it until I came across this reddit thread.
Sure enough when I checked the device name it had changed back to default.
Ironically not long after discovering this I was going through my Quick Share settings and noticed that my device name was also the default name, but when I would try to change it, it would show the new name but wouldn't except it. So I clicked "About Quick Share" and there was an update available, so updated Quick Share and noticed the device name was what I had changed it to. So I restarted my phone and boom, my custom device name had stuck.
Long story short, if you have the bug where your custom device name won't stick, update Quick Share. Kinda weird, but it worked.
