Chrome Will Not Close

I've had my G5 for less than a month now At first everything was fine.

About 4 days ago Chrome started refusing to close. I can minimize it but when I go to "Close All" everything but Chrome will close. I have tried shutting all the windows in Chrome and have made sure that it isn't a particular website that is causing it. I have tried restating the phone and turning it off and letting it sit a while before starting it again. I've tried using "Force Stop".

I'm traveling at the moment so I don't have access to wifi and have limited data. I really don't want resort to a factory reset as I will not be able to download all the apps I need for another week at least.

I'm running Marshmellow,, Android 6.0.1.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums. In the app settings, you should be able to limit Chrome's net use to when it is the foreground. This toggle should be under App data usage in Settings>apps.
