Looking to get my son a chromebook. Its cheap and he is going into high school next year so I thought it would be perfect for his schoolwork. He is also an avid Runescape player and the old ACER laptop we had been letting him use is on its last leg. I have read that Java is not supported so that game is out of luck for him. But I also saw where the developer was looking to allow HTML play support. Does anyone know anything about Runescape and the Chromebook?

I love the price and if he could play that game as well, it would be a great Christmas for both of us! TIA.

I have the chromebook and do not get it for anyone wanting it for "gaming" as it is not designed for that. It handles web browsing pretty well yet there are some issues with some plugins working correctly (shockwave always crashes for me). It doesn't have near the resources needed for gaming.
