Also many sites, such as CBS, NBC, CNN, PBS, Colbert, Daily Show, etc can be streamed through Plex Media Server using the Chrome browser.
Can't you just stream those networks and shows from the Chrome browser directly without using Plex?
My Nexus 4 (Android 4.2.2) works perfectly with my Chromecast.
Mine does it too. Nasty little bug. The phone goes dark and never comes back. My GS4 works fine, no issues. This bug has only been reported on the Nexus 4 running Android 4.3.
Not all of them. Sites that use flash or silverlight dont work. Try going to NBC.com and cast one of their shows. You will get audio and a blank screen with no picture. But if you run the video through Plex, it works fine.

Enter a site I built today which does just that: Chromecast compatible apps
Hi everyone,
I wanted a way for myself to know which apps are compatible with chromecast; just type in chromecast in the google play store and already there are unrelated results that appear. Obviously at this point an actual list is easy to figure out since the number of compatible apps is small. However, we can all expect that this list will grow overtime which would be cumbersome to manage in a forum thread. I also wanted a web page that is easy to read/view on a mobile phone or tablet since, more often than not, I would be expecting to look for mobile apps to use with chromecast.

So you're saying the PlayOn app for Android will cast to Chromecast? I haven't received an update for that app in a while though. I'll have to give that a try tonight when I get home.
Anyone know if Play Music via webapp can be casted similar to Netflix? I figured there would be an option, but can't find it anywhere.

Please remove "PlayOn TV DLNA/UPNP" it does NOT work with ChromeCast (I tried it yesterday), even though they mention it in their description.

Remotecast is an app that controls some settings while casting. Haven't used it a lot but you all might give it a try.

You can add Hulu Plus to the list of "Coming soon".
