Chromecast issues

For the last two days when I try to watch a movie from my phone using my chromecast I get an error on my phone that says sorry chromecast player stopped working. My son isn't having any problems getting it to work with his phone. Any ideas?

I have the chromecast app. I have tried to cast movies through quick connect and through the local cast app. It tells me it can't connect all of the time

Reset the Chromecast? There's a small button on it, just hold out down until it restarts and do the setup again from your phone. Only takes a minute.
