If you happen to be android screen casting using Google chrome android browser to a TV with the Chromecast connected of course, can any buffering have anything to do with the number of users currently connected to the WiFi, can this affect the performance given that the phone has to be connected to the same network via the router hub?

Chromecast and browser are uptodate.

Technically yes. As with any system the connection has competition from other devices. The traffic will compete with each other on your network. On my private network with only in use devices I get no buffering.
