clean now button in storage does it still exist or not

so i'm still rocking my s7 but i got a storage issue i know that clean now button last tues was in device mainteance i kindof download some cleaning apps free space and i think unnecssary data was there in my storage but not there next day and don't see clean now button as well .

i have been racking my brains out ever since last weds trying to figure out if i did something wrong or if device mainteance removed clean now button that why unnecessary data doesn't appear at top in storage anymore only showing system user data and available space

my available space is 11.3 as of now system user data 20.3 my phone has always been optimized btw
from what i been told in samsung chat and reviews that device mainteance did took both options off magically last weds i been sitting on my butt ever since then watching avaiable space slowly go down and device mainteance currently saying 95/100 when i go to storage i no longer see clean button button my verizon was closed since last weds i was over there mon was turned away until thurs

so just trying to figure out was me or not its possible i may have to get new phone christmas due to this

my question if i were to like s10 or s10 plus for that matter even newer galaxy phones like s20 when device mainteance show 97,95 or below and i click on storage button will clean now button still appear or am i going to have run into this same issue

if somebody on here can tell me if clean now button still exist in storage i be greatly happy i just don't want to screwed up get s10 find out its gone as well though device mainteance/device care

Device care only clears recent ram memory and background , to free up storage you have to see what's taking it up , use this app from play store to determine.

Some apps like kik,textra eat lot of space .

I don't have any Samsung devices, so I can't say much about this -- but if you need a trustworthy app with a "clean" option, then try Files by Google.

that's not good i assumed since clean now button was removed at near top unnecessary data no longer appears along with system user data and available space eh

Like I mentioned , use that app to determine what's eating storage up and delete accordingly

As I mentioned before, use the Files by Google app.

"Phone cleaner" apps often cause more problems than they solve, so I recommend staying away from them in general.

well only app i was concern with that i did download tues night was super smart manager plus somebody made review back in july saying removed data uninstall

so not sure that what cause unnecessary data no longer display at top when you click on storage along with system user data and available space when clean now button did exist last tues night or if device mainteance after i assuming removed clean now button in storage next day also made that not showing as well

1 time when i was trying to move game sd card phone froze and rebooted i didn't think nothing about my storage being different until weds morning

you see that tues night i was trying to moved texas poker sd card i usually have problems putting that and blackjack sd card saying not enough storage space eventually they will be on there but was having a hard time so that when i thought good idea to download clean free space apps

i really don't know if i what i did cause them go away or not sad part i still cannot get that game sd card

like i said going to verizon tomorrow afternoon i'm sure they can free space but either i have to accept clean now button gone in storage or from a video i have seen is just simple uninstall device mainteance updates factory version in hopes both will come back download apk current version don't auto update time being

I agree getting a newer device with more storage, but most of the phones out there don't have the option your looking for clean all at once

Keep in mind that Samsung has had various software companies contribute to their Device Manager "phone cleaning" features over the years -- they keep changing them, probably in part because those companies have demonstrated some shady behavior (e.g., Cheetah's Clean Master and Qihoo 360). So it's possible that your S7's system had one of those prior companies' features, and the S10 doesn't (which, on the whole, is a good thing).

"Clear storage" apps delete what they determine has to be deleted - even if one of those files is the only picture you have of someone long dead. That's why it's never a good idea to use them. Use a file manager, look for the individual files, and delete the ones you no longer need. Also uninstall apps you no longer use. (Convert apps you only use rarely into .apk files [use Apk Extractor], and store tham somewhere other than the phone.) Boot into recovery and clear the system cache (not system data, only system cache).

And yes, this happens eventually to all phones. Files keep getting larger and eventually a phone with only 1TB of storage will be considered junk (there's no phone with that much storage yet). We used to think that 100MB was enough total storage (the user got only part of that) - now there are single files that are larger. These days your 32GB or 64GB storage is considered small. (I currently have about 40GB (of my total 128GB) storage used - and the phone's 3 years old. I'll probably be replacing it before I run out of space.)

so do you guys think i should do that uninstall updates device mainteance to bring back clean now button and unnecessary data to appear top of storage along with system user data available space and i guess install the device mainteance i have apk and then don't auto update

until i decide to get what new phone i want for christmas until then again i guess verizon will find someway to free space tomorrow

i rely on clean now button in past storage having it missing well its no good feels off so to speak and you know you used an app alot then battery will say fixed this sometimes put an app after clean it i guess those days are now over as well

the funny thing is if i click on memory yes i do see clean now button but again used to be in storage when device mainteance is saying 97/110 or below and its not there

You can try to Uninstall the update to device care if it's still same then you'll know nothing u can do at this point.

There should be some good deals coming up for holidays
