Clearing local phone contact database

Good Morning.

I have a HTC Thunderbolt - rooted. Stock ROM, nothing fancy, removed the bloatware.

I do NOT have a GMail account, I do NOT sync with Google or Backup Assistant. There is NO google account associated with this phone. I do NOT use the marketplace.

I have installed DejaOffice with CompanionLink on my PC for syncing my Outlook and Contacts. The sync works for the most part but there have been a couple glitches that have somehow duplicated, 5 times over, my local phone contacts database.

I would like to clear that database withOUT wiping the rest of the phone.

Problem:

If I click on "People" there are NO contacts listed. If I open Messages (for text messaging), click "Compose Message" then click on the people icon in the top right next to the box for adding a phone number/contact I can see the list of my contacts with 5 entries for each one.

I would like to know the following:

1. How do I wipe out the phone contacts on this phone without a factory reset.
2. Where can I find the actual file (through Root Explorer (for example)) to either delete that file or modify that file.

==================

I am not interested in syncing my contacts with Google by any means, so please do not suggest it.

Thank you for your time and help.

Unfortunately it does not. But I did just find out how to remove all Contacts Data:

Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All -> Contacts Storage -> Clear Data

Thanks for the help.
