Hello ~ I'm new to this site, new to android and new to the smart phone business. Though I've been with Verizon for a looonng time. Great forum, it's been a lifesaver so far for all my Droid Q?s.

I'm liking my Droid very much, the picture quality is rather soft/fuzzy (read: crappy), but other than that is a great device (I've a good camera for picture taking).

So... to my question:

Is there a way to clear what appears to be the Search History that shows below the input box when you press the Search Key from the Home screen or the Maps Screen?

Another question I have:

Is there a way to silence the camera without having to put the phone in Silent Mode? I find the camera's sound effects to be annoying.

Thank you all ~

it worked for google, but didnt clear the searches in the maps section. any suggestions?

u can use a cache cleaner but most of these are for rooted phones.... legally the camera is supposed to make a sound but there are roms that have a silence camera feature.

Go to Settings>>>> select Applications>>>> Manage Applications>>>> wait till it populates all apps, then select Maps>>>>under Cache tap clear.
