Any idea why it isn't partitioning the sd card?

Not really..It shouldn't matter, but, is the card empty? If there's stuff on it, maybe you have a file or program that won't allow it and cancels the op...I'm just grasping at straws. I'd say maybe it's "read only", but then you wouldn't be able to copy files onto it. Have you tried umnounting it and mounting it? Have you pulled it out nd used a computer to error check it? If you have a corrupted file it may not allow you to format it either.

Problem fixed I backed everything up and erased and formatted the card and it was smooth sailing after that!
so either something was corrupted or a program was holding it back cause I had the same problem with my 8gb card too.....Thanks guys!
