ClockworkMod Recovery/ROM Manager Guide

What steps did you get stuck on with the procedure in this thread, and the alternative procedure I gave you?

And btw you are rooted, correct?

i am rooted i go and do the flash of the kernal my phone restarts i download clockwork app fash the recovery reboot into recovery and i get the stock recovery instead of clockwork and the alternative way i downloaded the update put it in the root of my sd card flashed back to the recovery slected the update.zip and it fails

Since you are having a hard time with both methods, I would suggest waiting until the 26th when official Froyo is released. There will probably be a flashable version of official Froyo with Clockwork pre-installed - I will post it in this forum so check back.

This isn't the correct forum. This is for the original Galaxy, not the Galaxy S2, so I'm not sure if anyone here will be able to help you with your phone.

SUBJECT:Your Sept 14th 2010 Android SDK software downloasd link

I have a LG Virgin mobile Optimus V Google based Model #VM670 Android cell phone.
The ADB tools to root my cell phone were not in the SDK software I downloaded a few months ago to root my above android phone.
Is it legal & FREE to redownload the SDK software package where ADB tools are included to root my cell phone to free up available phone space since certain apps I downloaded cannot currently go to my 16GB SD card. Please let me know ASAP! Thanks!

Yes the Android SDK package is free to all to use. The tools you need are simple enough to get after you download the SDK package and start it.

Once it brings up the list of downloadable packages "updates/add ons" for the SDK you need to select the option for "Platform Tools" which is near the top of the list. That will give you ADB, fastboot and other apps that are needed to root & manage devices.
