i just used rom manager to flash clockwork and i believe its a newer version than is on the sticky

Yep, with Gingerbreak and ROM Manager you don't even need ADB. It's so easy and awesome!

it didnt fix my wifi problem,but the rest of the rom seemed to work a little smoother.i uninstalled the iho rom and went back to asops rom and it seems to run quicker also, so i guess it does work better for flashing the cm7 roms. one problem with th recovery though was it changed the second partition on my sd card from fat32 to ex4 so i had to redo the apps that were linked to my sd card when i restored my last backup before i made the change.

the newest cwm recovery is 3.2.0.1 and Rom Manager will flash it for you. i wouldnt suggest using rom manager for anything else though. the other features are somewhat broken. flashing roms manually is your best bet, but that app will flash the recovery to your phone just fine.
