I've been a long time slacker user, since the days of the OG crackberry storm. All the iphone users were all hyped up on Pandora, streaming music yes, but slacker is still rocking on my Droid incredible. Now if only I could get a premium subscription that would be even better.

The main reason Slacker is such a bad ass is because it has the option to save to your memory card so you can listen to the radio anywhere.

REAL PEOPLE makes a BIG difference

Why is Slacker Radio better than other radio stations? It's easy: Slacker stations are picked by REAL people. It sounds like a minor thing, but when you hear the quality of music on stations like the Alternative, Indie Hits, and Blues stations, you can tell that someone put their heart and soul into designing a high-quality possible mix of music.

For someone who's been looking for a good radio station to listen to at work and in the car for months (and months, and months), Slacker is a godsend. The genre stations have truly varied playlists and again... there's that human element. You might not hear a DJ on all the stations (Top Hits has one), but you know that there's someone in the background guiding you through your musical experience. You can't achieve something like that with a computer-generated station like Pandora, no matter how good the algorithm is.

So to conclude, Slacker truly has changed my life for the better. I listen to it constantly (that's almost not an exaggeration), and a few free months of Plus would be greatly appreciated. I'd certainly find a ton of use out of it.

Great application overall, building your customized channels on the PC and taking them with you on your phone is awesome. Cached stations are nice when you are in an area with spotty coverage and it streams very nicely though my car stereo. Don't even use my iPod anymore. . . it's been over a year now.

Have had random playback errors that this update seems to have fixed.
