Hey so I tried CM 10.1 awhile back but stopped for a number of significant bugs including bluetooth and signal strength issues. I wondered if anyone has tried RC2 and could comment on whether or not those issues are resolved? Most importantly do you notice less signal strength than a TouchWiz rom? Thanks!

I am no help but have a similar question. I finally purchased an S3. It comes on Friday and I have downloaded the RC2 and Latest GApps. I hate touchwhiz and was wondering what the verdict was with CM10.1 RC2. I use to root all my phones but hated how incomplet or broken Roms were. Will I be happy with RC2?

The major bluetooth issues I had with RC1 (crackling and dropping sound), and even the monthly before RC1 seem to have been fixed with RC2.

Just received a replacement Nexus S 4G for my damaged one. Phone has Android 4.1.1. I have tried numerous time to install CM-10.1.1 RC2 on this phone and get the following message

Updating partition details....
Installing 'sdcard/cm-10.1.0-RC2-crespo4g.zip'
Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping Md5 chedk: no MD5 file found.
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device")=="
E.Error in /sdcard/cm10.1.0-RC2crespo4g.zip
(Status 7)
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/cm-10.1.0-RC2-crespo

TWRP is installer. Before installation, I used TWERP Backup which completed correctly. Then used TWRP wipe - factory reset. then rebooted phone and reentered recovery/TWRP and tried to install.

Debugging is turned on

SuperSU and Busy box are operational

I have deleted prior copies of RC2 and redownload a fresh copy direct from CN, and placed it on the phone.

Why won't it install? Please help.

*228 doesn't work with LTE phones...

anyway, the signal meters in AOSP roms always seems to be lower, but if you go to signal strength in the about phone=>status the number it gives is usually what I get with stock TW roms. altho my speed tests aren't as quick on AOSP roms as they are with TW roms.

Thanks did not know *228 was not needed for smartphones
How do you know the signal is strong number? I get -102 on average

Verizon. S3 JB4.1.2 stock
