Hi everyone,

I am running CM7 from an SD, running fine for about a week since I installed it.

Last night, I shut down, using root manager for shutdown. and today when i go to switch on my nook, it gets to the android boot up screen and keeps looping, never getting any further than the initial andriod CM7 screen.

Any ideas greatly appreciated !!!!

I'm guessing that if you pull the SD it boots into normal Nook software? To be honest, the SD could be the culprit. I know this sounds crass, but is the SD sourced from a quality manufacturer? I've has LOTS of SD cards crap out until I learned that it matters. Pull the MicroSD, put in in the adapter and see if your computer recognizes it. If not, that could be the issue. If it does, I'd just get a new card and re-image the CM7 mod to it. What version of CM7 was it? Nightly or stable?

Hey John,

I'm using a Patriot 8GB, Class 10 card. Is that a good card? and yes, when I remove the card the regular nook reader boots up.

I pulled the card from the nook, using an adaptor plugged it into my computer, it opened automatically everything seems fine.

I don't have a problem re rooting the whole thing, but one question if I do that, do I lose all my apps, purchased apps I mean, will I have to buy them again or are they linked to my google account?

Stable build (I think)

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. Mini-me had to stay home from daycare and it was my turn.

As far as the card you have- to be honest, I've always used Sandisk since I had my issues. No failures since. I've never heard of Patriot, but that's not to say they aren't good. Since you can read the card, I'd say something is wrong with the Rom. Can it boot into Clockwork Mod Recovery? As far as I know, Apps are downloaded to external memory. If so, than you'll lose them but have the ability to re-download them from the market without penalty or paying for them again because they are lnked.

I'd get an 8GB class 6 from Sandisk or other top three manufacturer and do the process over again. Hell, if you don't want to frack with it, just buy one preloaded from eBay. By the time you buy the card and pay shipping you can buy one already set up. You sound like the adventurous type so i presume you would prefer doing it yourself. That said, I still think something is wrong with the Rom. I hope someone else chimes in as I'm no expert. Good luck!

Hey thanks for the update, I will go get another SD card and just do it all again dont need to go on E-bay, there is an exclent store close to me with every thing imaginable, its a hell of a lot easier doing it a second time anyway, and I will stick with Sandiscs...so long as I don't lose my paid apps, i don't mind starting from scratch.

Unless of course someone else chimes in with a better idea !!!!

I was having issues with netflix anyway, maybe this will fix that issue too..can I be that lucky...lol
