CM7 problem please help

alright so i sucessfully flashed cm7 but for some reason i cant turn my phone of and charge it. if i turn it off and plug it in it will just turn back on and charge while its on. i feel like this is going to kill my battery and battery life. is this just me or is it a problem for everyone ? i flashed the rom in this tutorial ...

Which version did you install? The last nightly fixed that. 35 is the last, 34 might have I didn't charge while using it.

how do i know which nightly build to dl ? some are different sizes does it matter ? im just going to go with the one on the top http://download.cyanogenmod.com/get/cm_shadow_full-78.zip

This is the only place you should be DLing from. Cyanogen Mod 7

edit: i tried flashing what i dl'd in recovery but i get an error status 7?
