CM9 (ICS) Alpha 0 is out

yep battery is very poor, but then so was CM7 at start, bear with it, its brand new, ALPHA release, and will get patched as and when they sort the major stuff out.

so far im exceptionally happy with it, it kept all my previous apps that i'd installed from CM7 Xronified

I have the alpha 0 installed and it is working well for my needs. I have one problem and hope someone has a solution. I read that ICS removed the menu long press to get the virtual keyboard to pop-up. This creates a problems for text fields within Adobe Flash pages because when you enter a textbox in an Adobe Flash page, the keyboard doesn't automatically pop-up. Does anyone know a way to get the keyboard to pop-up? Is there an app that places an icon in the task bar that will activate the keyboard when needed? I have been unable to find one. Seems like an app that people would pay money for -- hint hint developers.

I've been having quite good battery life on mine, much better than CM7 (A 3.5). I charged it yesterday morning and it's still at 25% today, with a least 6 hours of internet browsing and general use. So far I've been really good about what apps sync in the background.

Where can I find better batter stats for you?

Battery life has been all over the place for me. This morning it dropped 10% just idling from when I unplugged it around 9 to when I first picked it up to surf at 10. Surfing for an hour at half brightness and it's only lost 2%.
Used it off and on yesterday all day for light surfing and gave it to my son with 40%. He was sick in bed with the flu so I let him play video games. I figured I'd let him play till the battery gave out.
4 hours later, I had to cut him off. There was still 20% battery left! After 4 hours playing graphic intensive games at full brightness.

Yeah, I've started to notice that sporadic behavior too. Using Quick office or playing Stick man golf, there's great battery life...web browsing seems to destroy the battery, though. I've had decent idle life, though.

Does anyone else have the problem of ICS rebooting when using the android keyboard? It seems to happen when I type sorta quickly. I heard that adjusting the CPU speed helps, but how do I do that? Oh and loading games can kill ICS every now and then too. I play GTA III, Inotia 3, Angry Birds Rio, and a few others. They all randomly force a reboot.

That's what I was doing and it still wasn't working. Restarted a few times and it randomly started to work.

I just added ICS today, and it is awesome. This is what I was hoping to get when I bought theTouchpad. What a fun device. No battery problems here, had a couple of problems with gapps at first, but worked through those and am thrilled with the speed and stability of this build. I have spent more time playing with the Touchpad today than on any other day since I've had it.

Usually turning the wifi switch off then on in the settings works for me after I "forget" the network. You can also try just a reboot too.

If you are having a problem connecting to the marketplace, check your date and time. Same thing happened to me and the year was set back to 1970.

Need some advise.
I did the alpha 0.5 on my TP with no issues and am pleased. This was over the CM7.5 with xron
Next, I wanted to do the same with my wifes TP and it will not go on. I did the ACMEInstaller2 on C android and tried to run it. It will not do anything and just sat there. I did have the CM9 in the cminstall folder. Do i need to put back moboot and CWmod as well there? Her TP is already running CM7.

I have issue with my TP.

I am with CM on TP since the day of very first.

Now problem starts today.

I have CM9 (Not 0.5) and otherwise working excellent, but won't give me option of WebOS, Clockworkmod, shutdown etc.

To me looks like moboot is screwed up. I had moboot 3.0.5 (latest necessary for CM9).

How to fix this problem now. I am not big fan of WebOS but I need moboot to make any upgradation etc.
