CM9 touch screen unresponsive and then SOD

Yesterday it happened, touch screen went unresponsive.

So I pressed power button to do shutdown and start again.

But unfortunately can not shutdown either, thanks to unresponsive touchscreen.

So pressed Power+Volume Up+ Home button. turned screen dark but no result.

I hold them for couple of seconds to couple of minutes.

No response. Does it call SOD or still my unit is on.

So for a while I decided not to touch until battery drain out completely.

Now question:

Any trick can work with this type of situation?

Just hold down the home and power buttons. Don't hold the volume button. Hold them til you see the HP logo

Was your TP fully charged? Don't have CM9 but I've had that happen with CM7 and after fully charging was able to shut it down. I think I'm going to let them work a few more bugs out before upgrading. I have ICS on nexus and it's the bomb so I'm fine with that for now.

Just encountered the same unresponsive screen issue and performed the forced reboot. Subsequently stumbled across this thread -- so, FWIW, you're not alone in experiencing this problem.
