Coincidence Verizon didn't get the Nexus S as well?

I'll ask this question again...

Do you guys think it is a coincidence that Verizon never got the Nexus S. ATT just released the S and Sprint released the S in May. Maybe Verizon knew they were getting a device with ICS and decided against the S because the prime is only a few months away.

Maybe the Galaxy S2 is VERY close in specs and Verizon decided against the release. Also, maybe ATT decided to release the S bc they knew they were out of the running to get the Prime.

What ya guys think? Any coincidence here or am I crazy?

That makes sense. Part of me says that I'd be into the Prime, but another part wants TW 4.

That and the wait....I hate waiting :/

I want TW4, unless ICS's UI doesn't suck as much as 2.3's UI. They better overhaul it.
I just hope they release a Charge 2...I'd go with that over the GS2 even if VZW didn't pass on it.

Honestly, I don't think Verizon is into the whole biggest baddest phone industry. They've always passed on the new thing, with exception to the OG Droid, which was kind of a gamble. They've always been network oriented and after the OG Droid was successful, they locked everything down and haven't opened things back up since. They're not a fan of phones or an unlocked device and network.

I wouldn't be surprised if the nexus didn't come either. Though Google wants ICS on all phones to stop the fragmentation. Grumpy old Big Red.

Wishful thinking. Why did Verizon put Bing on the Fascinate? Why does Verizon do anything it does?

I don't really think Verizon passing up the Nexus S had anything to do with the Prime. I do think it's very possible that they skipped the GS2 for the Prime or another similar Samsung device though. There's also the DHD, Vigor, Revolution 2, and maybe another similar Samsung phone (Droid Charge 2?), that should be out hopefully within a few months.
