Color categories don't sync in Samsung calendar app

Hi!

Not sure if im posting in the correct place, but since S20 is my first andriod device, thought i can get some advice here.

I'm using Outlook on my PC and sort my meetings in calendar by different categories.

Each category have it own color so in calendar they recognized easily.

When I'm syncing my outlook with Outlook.com everything works perfectly: all categories and colors remain as they were created on my computer.

But when I'm syncing it with my Samsung Calendar App colors just don't synchronize. Categories remain in description of meeting but color does not.

In fact I don't see how could I change them manually.

Any advice on how to sync color categories with samsung calendar app?

I know that can be frustrating, but have you tried downloading & using the Outlook app?

I have issues where I will open my calendar app and all the days are empty. The first time it happened, I panicked, because I have a terrible memory for specific dates of when things are scheduled. It still happens frequently, but I close the app, then reopen and all the date entries are there again.

I'm digging the Outlook app a lot. My only issue is I can't use a custom widget app and map directly to the Outlook Calendar kinda bummed about that. I know I can make an Outlook icon to the calendar but I haven't been able to map it in a 3rd party app.

I don't think the colors will sync. You have to manually set the colors for for each account. Unless I'm not understanding what you're looking for. Maybe a screenshot would help. Like my Gmail account is blue in Outlook but I had to manually set it to Blue in the Samsung calendar app.

The OP is not talking about account colors. But category colors for contacts and calendar items. Like setting up a contact with several categories like "business" or "personal" or "client" or any custom category. Outlook assigns colors to each one. But that stays only between Outlook client apps. Samsung and Manu other EAS client do not recognize that aspect.

Ah ok, yeah that doesn't sync to Samsung.

Yes you are right. Okay it's clear now. Im using the calendar in the outlook app now, not the most ideal but okay.
