I was wondering if anyone knows the EXACT color of the GB notification bar? Also I would like the color of the 3g/service icons. The six digit #xxxxxx would be ideal. I'm trying to match a custom wallpaper to it. Thanks.

In the defense of people in general, sometimes I get sort of frustrated when people say "go search," because on several occasions the search feature has just completely not returned results that I have found manually. In this case however, assuming the OP is not in fact being sarcastic...he linked it for you in the second post. I mean really.

/facepalm

Edit: To amend my earlier post though, despite issues with forum-goers, I do think it's sort of rude to respond this way. If you're going to take the time to find the link and then respond, you don't have to do it in a sarcastic way. You might as well just link it and move on. I see this problem a lot on these forums. The search feature is a good thing to learn to use, but when people ask, it's better to just be nice or to not say anything at all, in my opinion.

i was just simply stating that i searched and didn't see the results i needed.

Sort of what I was saying...in your defense, and just for kicks, I searched too, and all I came up with was this thread. Which...clearly would not help you. The other search would only have worked if you looked for colorblind or something. Which clearly you wouldn't be looking for. This is why I'm saying it's sort of rude of the second poster to go about linking you the forum post in that manner, considering a search doesn't always return the desired results.

Either way, glad you found it! :)

Edit: I had a grammar fail! :(

I *was* being sarcastic. I find it ridiculous when people, A) can't use the search function and/or B) don't bother to read the threads with similar titles when you start a new one. I pulled up the old thread with a five-second search. I also bet that the old thread appeared when this one was created. The forum is set-up to prevent redundancy, yet everyone wants a "me first" answer.

I think the OP still doesn't realize that the answer is linked in the first reply.

stating that u have done ur searching in ur OP will diminish these answers. I myself will state things similarly if I dont see theyve done all the homework they could. Rarely its someone just not forum savvy enuff yet to do searches.

I guess I just mean...even if someone didn't search, there are more polite ways of suggesting they do so. Also, if you bother to take the time to link them to the other thread, you can do so in a nice way without implying that they are an idiot.

I know there have been a massive influx of people being complete idiots, particularly since the Gingerbread release to the masses. I have been mildly frustrated myself with some of the posts. Generally though,I do think we can all benefit from being nice to each other. Some people really are just new or actually do just want genuine help, or really just did have trouble finding something. I don't want those people to be afraid of asking questions because someone responded in a nasty way, is all.

Either way, hope everyone has a good rest of weekend.

the more we can avoid the "search is your friend" replies, the better; they dont really do much to encourage new members to post their questions. links laden with backhanded sarcasm also tend to have the same result.

anyway, question asked and answered. no need for this to stay open
