Anyone change or find out to be useful? Seems the update already changed the temp. Anyone change there's yet, if so which setting looks good to you all?

I like mine about half way to the right, on the cooler side.

This is also my first phone where i am NOT using the auto brightness. TO me its too dim. So having the brightness turned up makes it look a lot better.

I have mine set one notch to the left. I didn't try the cooler side at all because I felt the whites were already a little bluish. I'll try it to the right and see what I think. Being color blind makes finding the right color a little difficult to me.

Two in favor for the cooler side. HTC chose to even it in the middle. I don't remember but it seems they've changed the once cooler temp out the box new to more of the M8 color temp which was a bit warmer than the M9. Anyone agree? If not chime in on what you think...

I set mine all the way to the left and I love it! Lol! I came from the DNA which had a very vibrant screen in comparison.

Mine is biased +2 to the warm side. That's the closest I've been able to get it to match the cinema mode of the S4.

I had the DNA also. Besides the M7 I feel DNA had the best display then the great M8. Gonna try some of those suggestions out. Good Look M9 Fam...

I have set mine +1 on the warm side. Normally I like cooler displays, but the M9 had a very cool temperature. I don't know if the 5.1 update changed anything though. Does anybody know that?

I didn't see any noticeable difference going to 5.1. Mine has always been a bit warm to me. I believe people's eyes see differently and what pleases people will differ, so adjustments between various people will vary.

That is true, but there were a lot of reviews who tested the display. Everybody agreed that the color temperature was very cool. At least we have the choice now and we can change it as we see fit.

Agreed that nobody sees the same thing. LOL
I for one am disappointed in the screen. I compare it to my M8 and to me the M8 looks better.

I had the galaxy s4 before this phone. I immediately saw this display as being cooler in temp, the update fixed that. Otherwise I think the display is fine. I care more about audio and this things rocks with good headphones.

It does indeed rock with headphones but the external audio is very low and it doesn't get loud enough. At 67 to 73% and possibly 80% seems as loud as it will get. Nothing on the M8. IMO the so called Dolby audio system. Not so great. The M8 can almost match it with movies bring played. Hopefully they still giving the hundred off on their next big thing. The only reason I keep this disappointment. It's an investment.

Thought this thread was about color settings?

Thought this thread was about color settings?

You right, I started the thread, then departed, well said. I compared my display to my Co workers M8 and realized at full bright, which is what his was set to...with the temp one notch towards the warm setting,my display was a bit richer my greens and reds were deeper. I honestly believe the default setting was adjusted by HTC to match the M8. I need to get my hands on that DNA and try to match it's display. Liking the display right now a bit on the warmer side...

Anyone find a color temp that gives off rich deep colors? Samsung like. I don't like Samsung but the truth is their displays lately are the truth.

I wish. You are not gonna get that with a slider. I would love to have vibrancy in the colors while still keeping the white cool.
