comand line boot screen instead of animations

Hi all,

Any way i can get an old school command line boot instead of animations. Is it as simple as changing a flag in a config file?
Im running the latest mirage rom

[DEV] Framebuffer console - xda-developers
kernel patch, though, with kernel command line variation.
livedmesglite didn't work for me ,hadn't tried the logcat version.
