Combining framework-res.zip from another ROM?

Would it be possible or wise to combine the framework res file from Team Hydros (Optimus Q) CyanBreadX Mod to Mobsters new Rom? pros cons?

it could break the 1% battery mod i added and possibly the reboot and recovery options (needs to be tested) if its the theme you want i suggest copying over just the .png files or i can do it :)

although it can be done i suggest using my roms framework-res.apk as the base to transfer the files into as i have made some changes to some hidden folders

EDIT: theres always the option of porting it to my deodex rom

Okay look. I've worked on countless themes, several roms, and many different tweaks within android. And porting a framework-res.apk would not mess up a reboot or reboot recovery option. You need to just keep the reboot and reboot recovery icons in the drawable-mdpi folder of the rom you're trying to tweak. Don't switch out the entire .apk, just open the framework-res.apk of your phone's rom and the framework-res.apk of the rom(s) ive edited and copy all of the images inside the folder and paste them in your roms drawable-mdpi folder. (this means copying your drawable-mdpi folder somewhere...deleting it from the .apk. Copying the images in, then dragging the drawable-mdpi folder back in.)

I have no problem with everyone using the themes and stuff I've spent hours working on lol. But, I do have a problem with people porting the specific apk's to phones they weren't designed for. It's just that I don't want anything I've done put on a phone/rom thats not gonna run right. I just ask if you're going to 'port' this, please do it the way I listed above so as to not mess up your rom at all. Afa messing up your battery 1% markers... dont copy the battery icons from the framework-res.apk in the rom listed above... these are very intuitive tweaks. Just think it out before you do it and you shouldn't have any issues. Sorry if I've come off harsh above, I assure you thats not my intention. I just don't want anyones phones to have unnecessary problems. Simpler is often better. And to reduce the risk of errors, simply switching out images is the simplest option. If you all need any help ... lemme know :) .

Edit: Mobstergunz, androidcentral isn't allowing me to accept your firend request...idk what the deal is. I've expanded on the theme in that rom quite a bit. If you want the edits ive made, lemme know and ill upload the themed .apk's for you. (Contacts.apk, Email.apk, Music.apk, Launcher2.apk, etc. (I think ive themed like 10-12 apk's im not positive anymore)) I'd love for this work to be expanded to other roms I spent 5+ hours on getting the look right. It's by far the most complete theme on these phones. I wasn't the originator of the theme, but I've expanded greatly on it after porting it from CM7 to these devices. I'm working on themeing the dialer at the moment. Eventually I plan on having the theme completely match (hex code #01c6d2 ;) ) and enabling transparency in the dialer. I see you've added crt style screen off animations to your rom (I think its your rom) thats awesome. I'm helping out with a rom for the q and I enabled that early on because 1) its aesthetically pleasing and 2) I see no reason for LG to have disabled it. I put a walkthrough up on here for anyone who wants to enable it in whatever rom you choose to but seems no one really viewed it lol. Sorry if I'm babbling android just intrigues the crap outta me.

Seeing as you have a Rom you're calling Mobster Rom... id like to play with the name and maybe we can get a more mobster-esque theme going on your rom ;) . I'm thinking like black and white with red. I wish I had a slider to test it on because I doubt our frameworks and all are the same. But if you get your framework setup and your sysui and shoot it my way I'll take a crack at applying a mobsteresque theme to it.
