Coming back to Android

So I bit the bullet and bought a really nice used Xperia ZL, I have been on Windows for the last year and a half so I guess I kind of forgotten about the ecosystem. What are the first things I need to do when I get my phone?

Log in to google and sync everything

Install a different launcher.
Replace the stock messaging and music apps.
Install Zooper Pro.

Those are the first steps I take. So, give in to peer pressure!

Sorry I should have specified, I'm just looking for raw performance. Vinnie what would you suggest launcher wise?

Your welcome. The free version is good. It has plenty of extras. If you like it the paid version is 4 bucks I think. I highly recommend it. But there are those who swear by Nova. Don't get me wrong, Nova is just as good as Apex. However, the free version does not offer as much as the free version of Apex.
