Coming from an iPhone 6+

Yeah you can now deactivate your number from iMessage and it fixes that problem real quick. Still having issues with sending videos but Hangouts sends pictures fine. Battery is good so far, down to 37% after charging it until 4pm yesterday and it is currently 11:25am the next day. Thats with some videos and calls and music but not much else. Camera seemed pretty good with my 3 month old rolling around and the videos look great.

3. The battery - I hated that on android I'd have to always turn stuff off and cripple the phone just to get close to what I could get on an iPhone while leaving everything on.

4. The camera - I have a 2 year old and the iPhone 6 Plus captures him nicely even though he's running around like crazy. My n5 couldn't really get many great shots because the shutter is so slow.

There'll definitely be things you like more, and less, when moving from one flagship to another (and even more so from one ecosystem to another).

Regarding 3, you indicate having had to do a lot of micromanagement in order to get the battery life you did with the iPhone. My question would be, did you need to do that to get through a day? If not, then I'd suggest not bothering - unless you don't have the opportunity to charge it overnight. With the N5, I could see that issue arising pretty easily with more than moderate use. Most people are having no issues with the N6, whose battery - while still not lasting as long in comparable activity as its iPhone counterpart - vastly outlasts the N5.

As to point 4, the N5 camera wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't spectacular. The N6 takes wonderful shots in HDR+ mode and is far better than the N5 in every scenario, but still doesn't do as well as an iPhone if you're trying to capture motion shots. With HDR+ off, the results can be very good in well lit scenes, but otherwise present what is currently imo a weak point on the phone.

Everybody continues to think that there is something magic about an iPhone camera. To set the record straight, Apple does not make its iPhone camera. They buy it from Sony. Nexus /Motorola does not make its camera either. They buy it from Sony.

Apple iPhone has stayed with their older model 8 megapixel Sony camera.
Nexus 6 has gone with a more recently developed 13 megapixel Sony camera.

The Sony spec sheets are better for the newer 13 megapixel camera and it has a better lens.

Most (unknowingly) are bragging about the software. It isn't their hardware that is amazing .. Apple has good software that helps with things like blur. Of course no software / hardware combo for a phone is 100% perfect .. but Apple does a good job with the software to help out on things. That is why people like it.

Are you trying to send videos you're taking with the camera? Is this exclusive to the wife? If so, like I said go nto the photos app and log into each others googles account and you can see all photos and videos or just create a circle for just the two with google plus and you can have it as a private circle. Whenever you want to share content her profile pic will be a shortcut under the share icon. Whats nice about this, is there isn't a need to install any other apps as it is built right in.
