Coming from G2... very dissapointed.

my one minor quibble with the Nexus 5 is that some of the OEM's are actually making forks of android now that don't suck, unlike last year. Sorry but TW on the S3, and Sense on the One-X were horrible. And the rest of the pack were even worse.

coming from a high end smartphone to the Nexus 5 is futile IMO. If you already have a high end device then it might be better to just stay where you are at. The Nexus 5 is not position to be high end or the replacement for a high end device. I think some people just have a unrealistic view of what the Nexus 5 is.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but you're on crack! I tend to have most every flagship on multiple platforms (sans BB) for some period throughout the year and a Nexus always ends up as my DD. Millions of thumbs down to you, sir :D

OP...sounds like you have a defective device. Return it.

I think the G2 is a better phone overall, hardware-wise. Higher MP camera, better battery, expandable storage.

The only reason to get a nexus over it is if you really hate LG's UI (which I do) and do not care about updates that much. And I guess there is the price too.

Love my G2! No Nexus 5 on VZW so G2 was the obvious choice for me. I am still curious about the N5 though...

@JeffDenver No expandable storage on the G2 unless you have the Korean version... But overall I agree.

The G2 doesn't have expandable storage, unless you're talking about the Korean version.

I completely agree with this. I have the G2 and will be using it and/or my GS4 and returning the N5. I gave the N5 three days and tried really, really hard to like it more than the other two, but it seemed like I was working too hard to like it and make it work like the others. It is a good phone, don't get me wrong, just not as good as the other high end phones (in my opinion). The price and getting updates directly from Google are its obvious strong points.

I feel the same way as you, but the opposite as far as phone choice. I have the Moto X, G2, and Nexus 5. I'm trying hard to like the G2 but that's the one I will be selling. It just shows we are all different in what we like and want out of our phones, and there is nothing wrong with that.
