Commuter or Defender?

I have both but I prefer the commuter for the simple fact that the defender is just too darn huge. I find even the commuter makes the phone too thick, I alternate between the commuter and my slip case.

The defender has padding on the inside for the S3 so it doesn't scratch and has extra shock absorption. From the pics I can see on amazon, both cases are the same bit with different colours and the commuter doesn't have the holster clip

I know this is an old thread but I decided to give my insight. I own both cases for my gs3 and I prefer the commuter overall, the defender is nice and I love using the belt clip at work, but it is hard to pocket and the rubber gets loose very easily. The only issue with the commuter is the buttons are hard to push but I still love it and it is easy to pocket!

Defender belt clip was horrible for me, stabbed me every time I tried to tie my shoes or pick something up off the ground
