Company name registration

Hi All,

I've been searching on internet but didn't get definitive answer to this..

I want to publish my first android application but don't want to specify my personal name as company name. Can I just specify any makeup name without registering it officially (I am trying to be as lean as possible, avoiding any side costs)? What consequences it might have? Will I have a chance to register it later when my app starts making millions?
