Compatibility update patch? Anyone

When i install that app my phone it made my phone not worked properly and also when i made an outgoing call it seem like someone was on the line listen and i know i wasn't just hearing stuff and on top of that my phone kept on recieving emails so i factory reset my phone now my phone is working good. Also if the app appears again just dont install it

"Compatibility patch" update showed up in my notification area. When I clicked on it, it took me to the LG software update section and said that this file is needed to fix some issues with app compatibility. File is about 150kb.
After installing the program asks to reboot the phone. Once the notification is clicked on, the phone reboots.
Phone is not rooted. It seemed a little sketchy since there's really no other information anywhere else on the net. It seems a bunch of other people have got this but no real info.

Just wondering if anybody else has got this update.

Thanx.

I installed the compatibility patch and then my phone rebooted. But i could not open up the play store again, and alot of my apps could not be opened. So i had to delete them all. I tried everything from clearing the cache and forcing the play store app to stop. But it would not work. I finally factory resetted my phone. I had to start over but atleast everything was back to normal. Now my phone is telling me to download the patch again. But no thank you! I will gladly go w/o it. I dont want to risk starting over again. BEWARE!!✋

I've had the exact same thing happen to me as well as Unfornately Google Store Has Stopped ever few minutes across my phone screen. I have a LG G4 and none of this happen until I downloaded the compatibility patch. I've tried to delete and clear cache which neither worked. I know this has something to xo with this patch, prior to this I've had no problem with this phone. Now I'm going to factory reset my phone.

Re: Compatibility update Fix

Ok so I tried what you said and it worked....did you keep all the app notifications off or turn them back on?

I. Keep getting. The icon at the top of my screen for the compatibility patch I read. Online that it has caused problems for people I don't seem to have any problems with my phone and I don't really want it I have to restart my phone to get rid of it and it keeps re appearing its aggravating to me but until somebody gives me a reason and a REAL DEFINITION of what this is than. I won't download it it has. Actually become so irritating that I won't buy an lg. Phone anytime soon
