Compatibility with VR googles?

I want to try a generic VR googles. Is it compatible? This phone is big, not sure if it will fit, oh and I guess the 2nd screen will be visible?

I've used it with a Conan Google Cardboard and while it's not a perfect fit and the flap doesn't close completely around the phone, it does work. You just might have to find out a way to keep the phone in place better.

How bad is the VR with LCD?

It's just as bad with an AMOLED one. This is basic VR...you're gonna see the pixels. Don't expect an Oculus or Vive experience, obviously. The Gear VR does have a slightly better feel to it in comparison due to better lenses and device-specific equipment.

It does, but with 'basic' VR being so...basic... you'll hardly notice. But yeah, if you have to have a winner, AMOLED is better if you're being picky.

Current VR googles are not very good to begin with, most use plexiglass type lenses which doesn't give the sharpest looking image.
