Completely naked Evo users, please read

I've used a screen protector since day one and no dust.....I use an otter box case of and on as I feel from day to day....today no case

Well today was my first time having my evo in its birthday suit since I've had it (around august) no case...no protection...just raw dogged it today...and I can say that I've been missing the sheer beauty of this phone and I have missed out the art form that is the evo4g...debating if I should go back to safe carrying

My Evo Does not leave the safety of it's casing....

Screw that not after my fatty puppy not so puppy almost killed it...

I am determined to be the last 0002 Hardware OG left Standing now

I only have a screen protector on my Evo. I've actually dropped it a few times. No serious damage like a cracked screen, but the strip that surrounds the phone's screen is actually cracked right by the volume rockers, and I'm trying to decided weather to use the insurance to get a new one as the stripping is separate some what and I'm afraid dust will get in under the protective covering to the screen. Still works entirely fine though.

I have a white Evo with the slick back cover I wouldn't last a day without dropping it without a case. I tried using it 'naked' one day just to see what would happen and almost dropped it twice. I put its case back on and keep it on all the time now. No way am I taking a chance of damaging this most wonderful phone.

Mine has a screen protector but has never seen a case. It's perfect as far as I can tell. The phones big enough without a case.

Ever since my son dropped his phone and Sprint replaced it for free, I took the screen protector off and am thinking of going without the case, as well. Damn, the screen is beautiful when naked! Like a new phone!

I cracked my screen and the protector held everything in place until I got it fixed. Just something to consider.

Haven't cracked the screen (knock on wood) I have dropped it once or twice and the corners are a bit scratched. I am usually careful with it so I haven't damaged the screen.

The screen is very very hard to scratch. Over time my screen has shown wear in the corners and on the edges but nowhere on the face and on areas that I frequently touch. I usually don't keep things in the same pants pocket that I have the phone in so maybe this has helped to keep the screen scratch free but honestly, glass is pretty damn scratch resistant. The plastic screen on my Palm Pre was terribly worn after six months of being in my pocket.

Got a htc case and zagg invisible shield and looking at my case, it's pretty dinged up, and I think i've gone out if my way to protect this phone (only dropped it twice, once face down). If I would have went naked I think my phone would be pretty dinged up for sure, and I might have even cracked the screen on that face down drop.

I've had the phone since August and it's in great condition, thanks to the case. I agree the phone looks great naked, but all it takes is one incident and you need a replacement... I don't mind spending 40 bucks (25 for the case and 15 for the shield) to keep from paying $100

Cracked screens are a $35 fee at a Sprint service center if you don't have TEP. If you do, it's free.

I dropped it once in the driveway and it landed face down. Fortunately nothing broke. I have light leakage from day 1 but no other scratches, nicks or blemishes. I try to keep it in its own pocket so it isn't rubbing against keys or things. So far I haven't had any problems.

I believe it was an errant pen, but I got 2 hair line scratches and a nick taken out. This just happened the other day.

Will definitely get a screen protector. Hopefully I can buff it out ?

I thought all in the screen protector camp we're a little crazy. Not so now....:/
