Completely unresponsive.

My cousin bought his galaxy s2 in July. He's been having issues with the phone overheating. After taking it to att they told him it was his battery and imagination. Now he's in my living room with a phone that is completely useless. I've tried all of my microusb chargers and there was nothing coming on the screen and no lights from the capacitive touch buttons.

Any advice or insight to this issue would be appreciated.

Nope. I'm thinking the motherboard is fried. He hasn't rooted it or anything. There's no reason it should be doing this.

Sounds like he needs to do a warranty claim. Att warranty is a year.

So after 2 hours at the att service center the only thing she did to my cousins phone was update the firmware. Pissed me off.

So, did updating the firmware work? They must have gotten some kind of response from the phone to get that far.

No idea. Turns out he fell in love with my iPhone that I let him borrow. And haven't switched back. At least that was the word 24 hours ago.
