Computer does not show Nexus 5

Windows 7, Nexus 5, Android Marshmallow
This evening I plugged in the phone to the USB port on my desktop computer to transfer some files. Computer does not show the Nexus 5 as a device. This is new as I have recently been able to do that. Looking at devices and printers there is an unknown device listed. I pressed troubleshoot. The result: Device disabled because firmware of the device did not give the required resources (code 29). I rebooted the computer and the Nexus 5 and tried again. Same result.

Thank you for the reply. I will bookmark the link. After much frustration I began to wonder if the fault was with the USB hub. I disconnected it from AC and plugged it back in. It now works and Windows accepts my Nexus 5. It's always good to think a bit outside the box (or computer).
