Hi, I have recently reinstalled windows 7 32bit due to a failed hard drive onto my computer. i had to put in my back up hd and windows on to and everything was working fine before but now it doesn't show up in my computer or in the HTC sync manager. I tryed right clicking on the snc manager: properties: compatibly: run in compatibility mode for windows 7 but to no avail. any suggestions?

When you first plugged it in do you see installing drivers, also did you try a different usb port.

No there is no drivers installing or anything all it does is charge the phone. When I put in my flash drive it recognizes that and i am able to access everything on it, except for the usb 3 port wont work for either devices. Also I just put in my ipod and its install drivers for that but still nothing for the phone...

does the USB debugging connected appear on the phones notifications drop down.

No, but it does say that its slow charging and that I should plugin the original charger that was included with the phone. Weird b/c it is the original cable and says the same thing when plugged into the wall adapter.

Go into the device manager on your computer and look for any USB drivers that might be missing from the reinstall from what you are saying it sounds like a USB issue on the computer and not on the phone
