Confirmed: Verizon Nexus One Cancelled

So the Incredible will be released soon.

Would a Verizon employee even be aware as to when the N1 would drop? I mean if it goes by the model that Google is selling, "marketing", and "customer service-ing" the N1 then Verizon doesnt really need to be in the know...do they?

could you point me to this post? i thought that was posted on another website, or i just cant find it here..

NEVERMIND..... found it, still no real help, other than "soon", but thats what @VZWOffers on Twitter is say anyways....

What sucks, the upgrade that I want to do is on a 9.99 line for the N1 which from what I am told keeps it from getting the buy down price. So I have to wait for the incredible anyways, or the Aloha. Unless someone knows a way to get around the family share upgrade, which I think that I do. Just not sure if it would work.

I would be in the same boat, So your saying if you are a 9.99 line on a family plan and want to upgrade to a Nexus 1, they wont let you do it?

I thought you would just have to add the $29.99 data package....

Another day and another disappointing day it is. How many of the next 76 days will be like this. How difficult is it to swap out the antenna and get the Nexus One out for CDMA networks. I am losing faith in Google. Three months ago they may not have secured a day for release and saying Spring 2010 was acceptable, but now it is just a joke. At least narrow it down with an official, from Google announcement. If its April than so be it, but just throw us a bone!!!!!

Well since apple has there big even on the 8th I would guess Google will release it some time soon but probably after apples announcement to try and steal everyone's focus back to them but who knows at this point every day is like rolling the dice.

Try to steal focus with what? Releasing Nexus One on Verizon is pretty nice but this device is 4 months old. And N1 is no longer the best Android device. Yes, if Sprint announce the release date of EVO 4G day after Apple event, now that's big thing. But not this one, not the 4 month old device to release on Verizon.

For people not willing to switch to AT&T or Sprint and are waiting for a new device on Verizon this is a big deal to them I know quite a few people waiting for this to drop. Along with the fact that I would guess Google will announce the release of there phone for Verizon and Sprint at the same time which makes them the first to have a top tier device on all 4 networks something Apple has yet to even consider.

I dont recall where I saw in in a thread, so I need someone else to confirm. The understanding that I had was that google wasnt giving the buy down price to TMO customers on secondary lines.

It was either somewhere here, on crackberry, or nexusnewsforum.net

Lets hope thats not the case, otherwise it would be foolish for me to get the Nexus 1 when I could use my Discount upgrade and just add the $30 Data package to my 9.99 line and get the Incredible.......

regardless of all that crap, I would much rather have the phone released and have to worry all that stuff knowing I have a new phone, rather than my old ass LG Chocolate.

If that's the case, you may as well wait a few weeks for the Incredible.

I was following N1 news from the rumor. And I've been waiting for N1 to release since beginning. However, there's more people who never even heard about N1 then people who actually know aobut the phone. Even to those who know about the phone, probably gonna buy Incredible because they can't test out the N1 before they buy it.

If Google really serious about selling their phone, they have to allow the phone on the vendor store. And if you go to Tmobile, Att and Verizon store, none of them will even mention about N1, because they are not getting any commission.

I gave up yesterday. I caved in and got the pre plus..

I wonder if google is making itself an idirect for vzw, and this is their only device. Looks to me to be the same basic set up, and they arent going to allow 9.99's to get discounted pricing becuase the commission is as much as primary lines. Could that be the hold up, a pissing match over money per contract. Verizon doesnt want to pay as much because google doesnt want to let vzw carry it in their stores. So google says no to 9.99's in return.

Why is it always Verizon is the one that holding this phone? Google did same to Tmobile, no family plan and only on google website. It's not like Verizon is desperately need Nexus One. I think it's other way around it.

I have no idea what's the strategy behind Nexus One but we all know this phone won't sell much with currently strategy. Maybe google doesn't want to sell this phone, who knows. Maybe they are learning their marketing strategy with Nexus One and they will go full force on Nexus Two.

Just went to the Verizon Store looking for a better case for my Eris and asked the guy about the Nexus One and he said they may not be getting it at all but are getting the Incredible. I asked when the Incredible was coming out and he said soon, probably this summer. I am really getting tired of Verizon and their ignorant employees.

I told you many times, even if they know N1 is coming tomorrow, they won't say a word. In fact, if I were them, I would try to hide the fact that N1 is coming out. Incredible is the one that they will get big commission by selling to the customer, N1 = no money to their pocket. Don't blame them, blame Google to not putting on Verizon store.

I emailed our company's VZW regional contact since we have a company discount program with them and got back on the Incredible a Q3 timeframe.

I seriously don't think the Incredible is coming out before June... It's been lagging so much and I just saw another new Droid commercial last night during '24'. I think VZW is going to ride out the Droid as their flagship Android phone for awhile. Which Q3 makes sense. By then, Droid will be 6+ months old and ready for new Android phone(s).

Believe me, I'm with the rest of everyone, I want either N1 or Incredible NOW. But it just isn't going to happen folks. I too click the N1 order button everyday, scour here and AndForums and can't get it out of my head that I desperately want one of these phones ASAP! :) But I have to believe that it isn't worth it and either jump ship to another carrier or ride it out with my POS Pearl :(

You are going to make me cry...really...seriously you are. I can't handle this Storm till June. I think I'm losing it. Its starting to affect my work. As someone else said "I have been waiting since Black Friday" for something more than the Moto Droid. I want the EVO but that is not going to happen because once you are on a Verizon Family Plan it is almost impossible to get off. To many different expiration dates and to many people to convince to change. I need the Incredible and I need it quick.
