Yea, so apparently the Incredible is confirmed to drop 4/29 at Best Buy. There is speculation that it may drop on 4/25 at Verizon stores (unconfirmed).

Now thats exciting, but I want the damn Nexus 1. Does this mean we have to wait till the end of April for that as well?

I believe HTC Incredible will be next Verizon flagship smartphone, unless Verizon is going to announce Iphone to release. So I am guessing Nexus One will be release after Incredible. So if April 29th is the correct date then Nexus one will be sometime in May.

Since Microsoft is announcing the "Project Pink" Sidekick replacements next Monday, and part of the announcement is that Verizon Wireless is carrying the device(s), I would guess that this is what is launching next week.

Well that is not the news I wanted to hear. And if that turns out to be the case, then there is absolutely no reason to pick up a Nexus 1.

IMO, April 29th is not "very soon". That's 3 weeks away. To me, "very soon" would be a few days.

But, "April 29th" is just more speculation. And who knows if that latest image is even legit. We wait. That's all we have... Oh, and desk/car chargers, but nothing to put in them.

Exactly.. this is total nonsense again... Getting everyone's hopes up for a big letdown, yet again. If it doesn't drop on the 29th, forgedaboutit! Customers will be dropping like flies.. Any later both the Incredible/N1 will be outdated with something newer (iPhone) coming by Fall/Christmas.

Exactly. Remember when WSJ reported that Iphone will announce new product and plan to roll out on Verizon, that same day, Apple stock went up. There's more people waiting for Iphone June announcement than people who's waiting for N1 or Incredible on Verizon. And if they wait til end of this month to introduce new phones, there's tons of people will just sit around and wait for Iphone announcement.

Snapdragon processor was big news like 4 months ago, but now we've been hearing Snapdragon chips on every new product, it's not making any wave. And it's extremely sad that Verizon's next greatest flagship smartphone is going to be the one that out on the market for more than 4 months.

Verizon is notorious for letting down its customers. I had a dare, with an app store on it. After a year, there were like 15 apps total.

based on the time the Nexus One showed up on the Cellebrite system at Verizon it seems like a end of April early May launch would be accurate...
At least that's based on when other phones showed up on Cellebrite until they were released.
The real bummer is that the N1 showed up after the Incredible, but I doubt Verizon wants Google to take all the "commissions" with a phone like the N1 without something comparable being sold in stores.

At this point i would take either phone, its easy enough to shut down the Sense UI if I get tired of it on the incredible and it shouldn't take long to root it and start putting custom ROM's on it. I hope...

You can buy a Cellebrite system for 900 dollars, just do a search on Google. I am not getting my hopes up until something solid gets announced.

depending on what apple says tom. waiting to release this phone as late as May could be bad for HTC. The iphone will be here in june. The evo will be out in June as well. I think the postponement is a bad idea.

+1... why would someone want to buy the Incred or N1 if the iPhone comes out before? I personally think whichever Incred/N1 comes out first, the other will suffer because people won't wait for it. The first one that shows up is the "winner".
But yea, late May is doom for both. By Sept or so, the next-gen's will be out and by Xmas all new stuff to make both obsolete. Uggg, the agony

Announced in Jan that it'd be out in the Spring. There's nothing deceptive or underhanded about that.

Doesn't matter. If Iphone is announced on June, and if they are releasing next generation Iphone on Verizon, it's game over. They will wait and get that new Iphone.

They wouldn't announce it in June, wait until September to start building it, and then wait until Christmas to sell it. That doesn't fit anything resembling Apple's product release cadence. Releasing it so far after the GSM version, for what would essentially be the same hardware, would also NOT fit into Apple's product cadence. If a CDMA version exists, it would be a staggered release from the GSM version, but not longer than a financial quarter. (3 months) If anything, it would go on sale along the upgraded iPod touch which is usually unveiled in September.

One thing you guys also need to take into account is that the new iPhone should essentially be running the SAME hardware as the iPad but with a smaller battery. That's one of the reasons the iPad is so cheap, and is one of the reasons why the new iPhone will be able to be stronger AND cheaper at the same time.

We haven’t been able to independently verify this in any way, but nonetheless we thought we’d share it with everyone as it makes a lot of sense. One our of Verizon connects hit us up last night and let us know what they’ve heard are five of the six upcoming handsets VZW was teasing about yesterday: the HTC Incredible, LG VS750, Microsoft’s “Pure” and “Turtle” and the Samsung Reality. As we mentioned, our connect isn’t sure what the sixth is, but we’re guessing it could be either the BlackBerry Bold 9650 or even Verizon’s Google Nexus One.

It sounds like they are going to release 6 new devices over the coming weeks. I'm hoping that they will include the N1 in with those 6 and give Blackberry its own release in June.
