Confirmed Working 1 Click Root for Fascinate (Post OTA Froyo Update)

I'd about had it with all the bugs I incurred after doing the OTA Froyo update a month ago, so I did a device reset, which fixed all the bugs I was experiencing (at least as far as I can tell at the moment). I then downloaded and tried the SuperOneClick Root Program and it worked on the first try! So now I finally rooted, deBinged, and debloated my Fascinate again and it feels good to have my phone exactly how I want it again!

I hope this helps some of you looking for a working 1 click root solution for your Fascinate after doing the OTA Froyo update! I already put a link to the page I downloaded it from above, however I'll put a direct download link below as well.

This worked on my fascinate I upgraded to Froyo yesterday!!!!!!!!!! I can now get back to using it like I did before.

hey, sorry about the lack of a response, my mom got diagnosed with cancer and I haven't had much time to get on here lately. I downloaded and ran the program from my PC.

froyo update problems

I updated on fascinate this morning without thinking! My phone was rooted. Now I've lost root and when i connect my phone to computer it says usb device not recognized. and usb device has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it. tried other links found on here to fix mounting problem but has not worked. Please if you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it.Loved my phone til now.

Cannot root via superoneclick

Im on 2.2.1 and cannot root via superoneclick. I dont have internet at home so I cant lookup the adb commands to do it manually. Ive tried 1.9.1 and 1.9.5 and I.cannot get it to work. Im ready to.give up and pay someone local to do it lol

if you know how to ODIN you can flash the su-2.3.6.1+busybox1.19.zip

Ok so I tried 2 usb cable and every usb port on my pc, either my phone or my pc hates me. All I want is to root, install cwm and put dark revenge v4 rom on this thing man, can anyone help please

And you do realize dark revenge is based off the EB01 leak which is about two builds behind where the Fascinate development currently is.

If you are talking about the factory data reset from the settings menu, you will lose everything that didn't come on the phone out of the box. And definitely do not do that reset if you are running a custom ROM. What are you hoping to accomplish with it?
