Confrimed AT&T Gingerbread Update for HTC Inspire 4G

so I've heard this update is gonna start rolling out tomorrow? Can anyone confirm this?

I installed the 2.3.3 update via the xda link and I notice the HTC wifi update is gone from the settings page. Only shows the AT&T update option. Hmmm...

I was temped to install the leak but I knew something wouldn't be right and did feel like loosing my data. So I will wait for the update.

I'm just hoping that those of us with phones that won't run the Unknown Sources update are able to run this one without any issues....

Anyway...

Here's a q ---> Does this version of Gingerbread auto-rotate the Home Screen?

This leak will add unknown sources. It does not auto rotate the home screen. I have been reading on xda and it appears there are a couple of SMS bugs. Best bet is just to wait until att releases the official update.

I have heard the second or third week of august from some ATT friends of mine. (End of next week is the target)

I installed the leaked RUU yesterday and my phone is running great. The sms bug that is being talked about happened to me too...but only for a few minutes. None of the contact names showed up in the sms app...only their numbers. But after a few minutes it just corrected itself for some reason.

But the added features and performance tweaks of 2.3.3 are nice and def worth the upgrade. This ROM seems pretty stable to me..as I haven't had any crashes or crazy bugs..but if another is released ill just use the RUU to update again if the differences are significant.

This leak will add unknown sources.

Right ... but my question was if the Gingerbread update will actually run at all on those phones that have previously had problems running the Unknown Sources update after having successfully received that update.

I think the answer to your question is yes (it will load fine) because android 2.3.3 will be loaded through wifi whereas the unknown sources = true push is strictly through the radio cellular network.

For anyone that doesn't know, it leaked out. I am running it now and its very smooth. You can find it on xda.

Hey I was wondering if you could send me the link for the leaked gingerbread. Ive been wanting it for so long with out rooting. Thanks

So I installed the RUU from the XDA link yesterday and it is 2.3.3. Seems to run pretty smoothly but I did lose root in the process. Will I still get an OTA if I'm running this?
Hey whered you find the link for it? I tried but had no luck. Can you send me the link and does my phone need to be rooted or is this an RUU?

Not all the phones. But all of ATT android are getting the unknown sources update.
