Verizon (US) customer. I previously had a Pixel 6A, and received the Android 14 update a few weeks ago. That device was damaged, so I replaced it with a 7A. The latest update I'm getting now is Android 13 / September 2023 security update. (Both were unlocked, bring-your-own-device if that matters.)

Verizon support is telling me this is all on Google's end. Was the 14 update taken down, or not pushed out for the 7A yet for some reason? I've seen some posts about issues with 14 and a new version coming soon, but haven't been able to find a clear answer.

While I have no history on whether or not the update was pulled (should have been released early October), they aren't wrong: for Pixel phones the update does come directly from Google. (From forums, though, it does seem the update has been missing for a lot of people)

Thanks for the replies. Guess I'll just keep waiting and checking!

Verizon's own Pixel 7a Software Updates page lists the Android 14 / October 4th update as the latest one, and the "Verizon is pleased to announce a software update for your device" intro makes it seem like it's going through them and not direct from Google, so that's why I'd initially reached out to them.

This made restoring from backup a bit of a pain, since a lot of my settings were lost going from 14 back to 13.
