Confused on USB C and Quick Charge

I have a 6p (for me) and 5x (for my son) on order, and will need to order extra USB C cables to have in the house and our cars. I don't have any USB C cables yet, as I've had no devices using them. I do have a variety of charges with standard micro USB cables around the house, but I don't think any of the chargers are Quick Charge 2.0 units, as our devices don't benefit from that (one Nexus 5 and 3 Moto G 2013 units). So, here are my questions:

  • Will the USB C charge up the 6p quicker using any charger?
  • If no to above, will any standard QUick Charge 2.0 charger work, even if I have to use a USB C to A cable?
  • Or, do I need to get a QC charger that puts out a certain wattage? And if so, what? 15W? 24W?
  • Or, do I really need to get chargers that are USB C ports on the charger itself, and utilize USB C/C cables?

Thanks for advice, I have been unable to find any info on this topic.

1) Nexus 5x/6P don't support Quickcharge 2.0. Using a QC 2.0 charger will result in slow charging since the charger has no idea what power the phone can handle.

2) Fast charging for the 6P/5X is capable by the Type C connector being able to handle 3A current at 5V, nothing more, nothing less. Type C to C connections will automatically go to this setting if the charger can do it. Otherwise it will take 5V at the highest current possible if it can't reach 3A.

3) Type C to A connections are confusing and I'm still figuring this out. USB A connections normally can't handle 3A, but the 6P comes with a charger that has a 5V/3A usb type C to a cable. If someone wants to explain how this is possible, please do.

Just looking at the picture, it looks like the cable is attached to the charging "block". That may be how it handles the higher amps.
I have seen some car chargers on amazon like that. (but not the right voltage for fast Charging)
