Picked mine up tonight. I love that they announce them and they're immediately available.

The new watch is really what should've been released originally. This one is improved in every way and finally feels like a Tag Heuer should. The metal back is much nicer, the screen is finally hi-res and the bezel doesn't feel like plastic.

Lots of little details have been improved also like the charging dock which is much easier to use since it seems to have a stronger magnet so it snaps in place better. The sales guy said they should have extra docks for sale by the weekend.

Also, it's not that big of a deal, but the box finally looks like a proper watch display case.

And being able to change straps and lugs is a nice touch. I'm not sure I'll get the mechanical module since I'll be trading in my Connected 1 for the Carrera Calibre 5 eventually, but it might be nice to have the ease of switching straps.

Anyway, I'm enjoying it. I'll test out Android Pay on the watch tomorrow.

How are you finding the battery?

Picked mine up on Tuesday and both Wednesday and today the battery was dead by 5pm having been off charge from 6am. Wasn't playing with the watch, just had it on as normal and looked at notifications as they came in and that was all. My connected 1 would still have around 35% by the end if the day with the same usage - paired with an iPhone if that makes any difference.

I'm only on my first run through of the battery, but so far it's been off the charger since 8 this morning and it's around 10 now, so 14 hours and I'm at 54%. That's pretty light use, notifications and a few hours of remote control of the music on my phone. Normally I'd be at around 40-45% by now.

I'd say a little better than the original but nothing great. Oh, I'm on Android.

Thanks for your reply.

I switched of wifi today and it lasted until 6pm.

I will going back to the shop tomorrow as I think I must have a bad one

I'm still trying to use up the last bits of that same charge. We're now closing in on 34 hours, with the screen off while I was asleep, and Battery Saving mode on since I hit 15%. No way to turn that off as far as I can tell.

Hello. I'm going to order the new model and I have an iPhone as well. Can you comment on the availability of apps in the play store on the watch that are available. I've not been able to find a good listing of what is out there. I've heard not all apps will work with the iPhone even on 2.0. Any insight would be appreciated. I'm particularly interested if Nike Run Club is on there. Thanks.

It's honestly not that great yet. Android Wear 2.0 apps are now stand alone and can be installed directly from the watch, which should mean it's not as dependent on the phone anymore. The problem is it's new and there aren't that many yet.

Nike Run Club doesn't look like it has a Wear app but Runtastic and Strava do.

Changed the watch over this morning and so far since 10.30am i'm at 66% at 5pm. Definitely better than the first watch I had which seemed to be draining around 7% each hour

I have mine since saturday. The battery holds max. 10-12 hours. If I still need about an hour GPS, after 4-5 hours the battery is empty.

My new watch is much better battery wise.

When I got home from work today it had been off charge for twelve and a half hours and still had 54% left. My first watch would've been dead by then.

Anyone used it swimming yet?

Once I got out of the pool & dried off it took about 20 minutes to become usable again. It wouldn't swipe properly, if I managed to get a notification up I couldn't swipe them away. I couldn't get the watch faces up to choose, the screen was really erratic.

The battery life on my Gen 2 TAG is terrible compared to the Gen 1 and I've reported it on the Android Wear 2.0 Google Forum. I still have the Gen 1 and no problems on Android Wear 1.5; so unless it's defective battery, it's probably the OS.

My watch runs about 12-14 hours!
I ask tomorrow in the shop, if I can return the clock. Something you can not use.
