Connected To PC How Can I Access System Folders?

Is there a way to get normal "disk drive" access to my SD card? In GB and previous I was able to access folders that started with a "." (dot/period).. Is it possible to access these folders with this phone when plugged into my computer again?

I really don't like "bumping" but does anyone know the answer to this question??

you mean hidden system folders or just the regular stuff on the SD card? I wasn't lookign for anything but my pictures on the card, but I was able to access them on my desktop but not my netbook for some reason.

YES! the "hidden folders", which aren't really hidden, they just start with a "period".. I can see them in Root Explorer and always used to see them in GB and previous because the phone connected to computers as a normal disk drive and not a camera or multimedia device

I can't even get it to display any of the folders on the SD card when I connect it to an XP machine, but windows 7 auto installs some driver which lets me access it. I don't see anything beginning with a period though, but the same list I see via the 'my files' built in app.

so I guess that's no help.

For XP you can just manually install the drivers from Samsung, no biggie, I always manually install drivers first. If still can't try the MTP or PTP setting...

I just wish I knew how to connect as a disk drive... Prob took away the setting to "protect" people from screwing up things they don't understand...
