Hi all...

New to my Samsung G note 3 and also to Android. My question concerns Bluetooth.

When I get into my car I want my phone to connect to my JVC head unit automatically. My Blackberry phone did this but my Samsung will not. I have to manually go in and tap the bluetooth button to turn it off then turn it on again. I have looked through the setup options and it says "paired", but I have to manually connect it, I can't seem to find anything to have it autoconnect. Is this not possible with this device?

thx in advance

Robert

Try to remove it and repair! Mine connects automatically every time I get in my truck. If that doesn't work, I would say it's something with your radio.

It's a Samsung and 4.3 problem.

Originally, I thought it was a Note 3 issue, since something similar started happening to me, once I've upgraded from the Note 2.

It doesn't happen always, as you described, but at least 50% of the time.

Once I've updated her S3 to 4.3, she started seeing the same issue in her car.

So, it's definitely not a car issue, since we are talking about 2 different cars and 2 different Samsung phones. Let's hope a fix will be included in a later update.

Btw, this has already been discussed here, so the issue is far from being unique.

My mother in law's S3 works perfectly with her Honda on 4.3. My wife's S4 works perfectly with her Explorer on 4.3. My Note 3 works perfectly with my Sierra on 4.3. I would definitely say it's not a Samsung and 4.3 problem.

...and I would agree with you. It's an issue with the device it's connecting to. I have several vehicles and headsets equipped with Bluetooth. My Note 3 connects to each one all the time with no hiccups.

my note 3 is one week old. I am using blue parrot headset and I also got that problem....not wanted to connect automatically, even when I do it manually won't work either. unpairing , repairing doesn't cut it either

actually there's a few threads on XDA that claim 4.3 has a a few issues with the bluetooth stack. If you have a warranty on the phone I suggest exchange it and see if that helps,
