Connecting thunderbolt via usb to Headunit

I've been using my ipod to play music but its annoying syncing over and over again one I get new music and its usually on my android phone first before I have to move it itunes so I wanted to connect it to my JVC headunit which has a usb connecter. ( this is what I use to connect the ipod with) what would I need for the bolt to connect it and does it work?

Your headunit doesn't have a headphone jack or Bluetooth? I just use a headphone jack. Never had a ipod.

O darn, I guess I'll have to stick with an ipod till I get bluetooth, I tried bluetooth in my parents lexus and its really slow, you have to go through all the commands to sync it everytime
