Connecting to a Projector

Are you able to connect the LG G Pad X 8.0 to a projector?

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that the G Pad X supports SlimPort or MHL, which are the two main wired ways to connect a device to an HDMI port. One possible workaround is to use a Chromecast plugged into the projector's HDMI port (assuming it has one), but this would require a wi-fi network that both the tablet and the Chromecast could connect to.
