Connection problem with AA and Honda

AA was working well until last weekend. The phone's message is communication error7 with car's software

I get the communication error every once in a while, but my phone still connects anyway. What USB settings are you using on the phone when you connect?

It's a huge pain that I have now that my S6 has upgraded to MM. You have to slide down you notifications and change your USB settings to media transfer.

I've posted in this and other forums how well my Note 5 from T Mobile has been working on my 2016 Honda Civic Touring Sedan. After some initial hiccups, every time I connect my phone, it connects perfectly. Hope it continues!

Mine generally connects right away if I connect it and leave it alone. But if I want to unlock my phone and access anything else, I have to allow it to be recognized, which in turn disconnects it and forces me to change the USB option. I know the idea of AA is so that you don't have to access your phone, but until they flush out its capabilities, it's a necessity at times.
